The Board of Management

The Board of Management is the body charged by the Education Act with the responsibility and authority of managing the school

The Board has 19 members in all and is comprised of every sector of the school community. Nine (9) members are appointed ex officio as a result of their representative role in the school stakeholder community, six (6) members (including the Chairman) and appointed by the JC Trust and the other three (3) are co-opted by the Board itself, based on areas of special expertise.

The Board created the Jamaica College Foundation in 2006 to be its fundraising arm.
